Trailblazers 10-piece Brass was founded in early spring of 1999 as the first Japanese, small-composed British-style brass band, and its members have many goals for the 21st century.

Goals include: Overcoming high pitches, going skiing, winning big money at horse racing tracks, losing weight, gaining weight, and peace for the world.

The band consists of a soprano cornet, two B-flat cornets, one flugelhorn, one alto (tenor) horn, one baritone horn, one euphonium, one tenor trombone, one bass trombone, one tuba and two percussion players. The group's sound has both brightness and softness with the skillful technique.

In January, the group gave its first concert at Fuchu-No-Mori Theater in Toyko. This concert was reported in the front cover and the color pages of the April issue of "Band Journal." The band played several other concerts as well as making studio recordings.

All members are first rate professional players who are active in orchestra, wind band and studio work.

The repertoire is wide-ranging, including original works for brass band, pops, classic and parody. The group is always pursuing the "amusement park class fun" under its catchphrase: "What an amazing brass band."
