Thursday, June 8

The 2006 Chautauqua Tea features edible delights and edifying highlights, including a presentation and performance. This year's afternoon tea "Elite Syncopations And Fascinating Rhythms: America's Ragtime." The tea will be held at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. with the Chautauqua Presentation given at 3 p.m. The festivities will be held at the Chateau du Vieux Corbeau Winery at Old Crow Inn located at 471 Stanford Avenue in Danville, Kentucky. The cost of the tea will be $15 which includes full tea, Chautauqua performance, tax & gratuity Reservations Required. Tickets may be purchased at Chateau du Vieux Corbeau Winery or by calling (859) 236-1808 or 236-1775

Brass History Conference 
8 a.m.-5 p.m. - Norton Center for the Arts
Gain new insight during presentations by Gary Hill, James Curnow and George Foreman. Performers include Jens Lindemann, Millennium Brass and Boston Brass Quintet. Pre-registration is $40 per person; call 800-755-0076.
The Great American Balloon Race
Stuart Powell Field/Danville-Boyle County Airport. 5  p.m. Gates open; 6 p.m. Music begins; 7 p.m. Lift off!  
Gallery Hop Stops - 5:30-9 p.m. downtown Danville
Rhythm and Brass - 7-9 p.m. at Beaumont Inn, Harrodsburg
Circle City Sidewalk Stompers - 7:30 p.m. at O'Charley's restaurant.
Great Olympian Traditional Jazz Band - 8-10 p.m. at Weisiger Park
