Thursday, June 9
The 2005 Chautauqua Tea features edible delights and edifying highlights, including a presentation and performance. Tea will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. June 9, 2005, at Two Roads Café located at 132 Church Street. The program is presented by Dr. Patricia Backhaus "The American Girl: Martha Awkerman, cornet soloist of the Women in the Air Force Band" with Elizabeth Wolfe as piano accompanist. Outdoor Theatre 
8:30 p.m. - Pioneer Playhouse, 840 Stanford Road
See the season premier performance, On the Razzle, as this popular repertory company of professional actors unveils its 56th season. Dinner will not be served prior to this special performance. Tickets are $13; call 859-236-2747.

Friday, June 10

Brass History Conference 
8 a.m.-5 p.m. - Norton Center for the Arts
Gain new insight during presentations by virtuosi brass solo performers, internationally renowned speakers, an outdoor luncheon, and virtuosic mini-concerts featuring chamber music. Pre-registration is $40 per person; call 800-755-0076.
The Great American Balloon Race
Stuart Powell Field/Danville-Boyle County Airport. 5  p.m. Gates open; 6 p.m. Music begins; 7 p.m. Lift off!
