GABBF 1999
This year's festival is a special one indeed. It will be the 10th Great American
Brass Band Festival. In celebration of this milestone, we will feature several bands and
performers that have been favorites over the years, including Mr. Jack Daniel's Original
Silver Cornet Band, the Olympia Brass Band from New Orleans, ragtime pianist Scott Kirby,
and Danville's own Advocate Brass Band. Among the bands that are new to the festival are
the Canadian Staff Band of the Salvation Army from Toronto, the Illinois Brass Band from
Chicago, and one of our country's most outstanding military bands, the Band of the Air
Force Reserve from Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. And that's just part of the exciting
line up. In all, 18 bands will be here to entertain during this unique weekend.
