Visitors to this year's Brass Band Festival will once again have the chance to catch the Bluegrass Rose Society's annual rose show in the Norton Center for the Arts.

Doors will be open from 8-9:30 a.m. for any person wishing to enter an exhibit in the show. The show then will be closed to the public for judging, before the doors are open for public viewing from noon-5 p.m.

"We usually have 29 classes in our rose show, and 15-20 of those will have an exhibit," said show chairman Nancy Estes. "We will have everything from old garden roses to the newest hybrid roses on the market."

Keepsake prizes and gift certificates will be awarded to the top roses, including the rose deemed Queen of the Show, or best rose.
