2003 Chautauqua Tea
The 2003 tea will be held Friday, June 13 at The Tea Leaf Restaurant and West T. Hill Community Theatre. The musical and educational performance includes a full afternoon tea. Tea times are 3 p.m. & 5 p.m. - performance by Olde Towne Brass of Huntsville, Ala., at 4 p.m. The program will feature music of both the Confederate and Union armies in addition to selections of regional Kentucky favorites. The event recreates the atmosphere of a turn-of-the-century afternoon tea and a Chautauqua gathering, where traveling companies brought cultural events to rural areas.
This year's festival will be held June 13-15.
One-half of the proceeds go to the Brass Band Festival.
