1998 Band History Conference

Centre College and the Great American Brass Band Festival invite you to participate in the 1998 Conference on American Band History. The conference will be presented on Friday, June 12, in Weisiger Theatre of the Norton Center for the Arts on the campus of Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. As a continuation of the highly successful 1997 conference on ragtime music, leading authorities from throughout the United States will address a variety of topics related to the music of the ragtime era. Particular attention, will be given to the relationship of ragtime music to bands.

The registration fee of $25.00 covers all conference presentations, lunch, and refreshments at the morning and afternoon breaks. Early registration is requested. Other events of the GREAT AMERICAN BRASS BAND FESTIVAL will continue through Sunday, June 14.
